Appointments

Think Pharmacy First

Over 96% of pharmacies in the Midlands are offering treatment for comment conditions without a GP appointment. Patients can now self-refer for:

If you go to a pharmacy with one of these conditions, the pharmacist will offer you advice, treatment or refer you to a GP or other health professional if needed. They will also update your GP health record, but your information will not be shared with anyone else.

Most pharmacies can provide prescription medicine for these conditions but contact them before visiting to check.

Book an appointment

From the 1st of September, we are moving to a Total Triage system for appointment booking.

When contacting the surgery via telephone or at the desk, patients will be required to disclose the nature of the clinical problem or request. All requests will then be reviewed by a clinician to decide the best course of action. We may need to ask additional questions to help prioritise patients who need more urgent care. We will then offer your the most appropriate appointment or signpost you to a more appropriate service.

We also offer some pre-bookable appointments as well as Saturday clinics – please contact the surgery for availability.

To request an appointment, you can:

Use the NHS app or Systmonline, where a number of appointments are released from 6.00am (if you need help setting up an account please speak to a receptionist)

Phone us on 0115 9614 583 Monday to Friday from 8.00am

Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 6.30pm

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
