Jewish BRCA Gene Testing – Closing on October 31st 2025
Posted on:
People with Jewish ancestry have a greater likelihood of carrying faults in BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, which normally helps protect against cancer. Faults in one of these genes increase the change of developing cancers including breast, ovarian, prostate and pancreatic cancer.
The NHS Jewish BRCA Testing Programme allows you for complete a simple saliva sample test to check for any gene faults. People 18 or overwith at least one Jewish grandparent can register for testing via this link. Please be advised the service will be ceased as of the 31st of October 2025 – please register at the earliest opportunity if you are eligible.
